During that visit, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of labor and social security between the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam and the Ministry of Labor and Social Solidarity. Vietnamese workers who go to work in Romania under contracts signed between businesses of the two countries are entitled to two types of insurance, health insurance and labor accident insurance.

The Minister also appreciated Romanian authorities for protecting the rights of Vietnamese workers to work in this country.

“We are in the golden population period. With a population of more than 100 million people, Vietnam has up to 56 million people of working age. This is a huge advantage.

The Minister said that there are currently many countries “ordering” Vietnam to provide a large amount of human resources.
